The equipment catalogue is for physical kit you own, such as photobooths, uplighters, microphones and speakers. Mobile DJ Manager knows how many of each you have, so you can’t book more than you own.
Adding equipment
- Go to Equipment > Equipment and click to add an item.
- Enter the name and category.
- Enter the Event add-on price, charged when it goes out with an event, and the Dry hire price, charged when it is hired on its own.
- Enter the Units owned.
- Save.
Group items with Equipment > Equipment Categories.
Adding equipment to a booking
In the event’s Financial section, click Add equipment, pick the item and the quantity. The cost is added to the total.
If you don’t have enough free on that date, the event still saves but that line isn’t added, and you are told which item couldn’t be booked.
Dry hire
To hire kit out without a DJ, use Equipment > Equipment Hires:
- Click to add a hire and choose the customer.
- Set the out and return dates.
- Add the items and quantities. Prices come from each item’s dry hire price.
- Add a deposit if you take one, and save.
A hire that would book more than you own isn’t saved, and you are told which item is short.
Move a hire through Pending, Confirmed, Out on Hire, Returned or Cancelled. Marking it returned records when it came back.
How stock is counted
For any dates, the number free is what you own, minus what’s on events and hires on overlapping dates. Cancelled, rejected and failed events, and returned or cancelled hires, don’t count.
Employees can’t see equipment, because it includes prices.
