Adding staff and wages to a booking

Assign a lead DJ and extra staff to an event, record what each is paid, and control what they can see.

In Bookings and calendarUpdated

Every event can have a lead DJ and any number of extra staff, each with their own wage.

The lead DJ

In the event’s Details section, choose the Primary employee. This is the person running the event. Their wage goes in Employee wage in the Financial section.

The lead DJ’s name is available to your emails and contracts through content tags such as {employee_fullname}.

Extra staff

For a second DJ, a host, a photobooth attendant or anyone else:

  1. Save the event, then open its Secondary Employees tab underneath.
  2. Click Attach and choose a member of staff.
  3. Enter their role (for example “Photobooth”) and their wage.

Only staff who have accepted their invitation appear in the list. See Inviting staff.

What staff see

Staff with the employee role only see events they are assigned to, either as lead DJ or as extra staff. On those events they don’t see prices, payments, contracts or wages, including their own. They do see who else is working the event. See What employees can and can’t see.

Checking for clashes

The calendar shows who is working when, including staff time off. Switch to Day (Gantt) to see each member of staff side by side for one day. See Using the calendar.

Paying your staff

When it’s time to pay, generate a self-billing remittance. It gathers the unpaid wages for a member of staff over a date range, from both lead DJ and extra staff roles. See Paying staff with self-billing remittances.
