Finding your way around

The sidebar menu, the shortcuts in the top bar, notifications and where Settings, Employees and Help live.

In Getting startedUpdated

Everything in the admin area is reached from the sidebar on the left and the bar along the top.

The sidebar

The sidebar lists the main parts of the system from top to bottom:

  • Dashboard, with Import Data underneath
  • Calendar, with Staff Time Off
  • Leads
  • Events: All Events, Customers, Contract Templates, Planning Forms and Spotify Playlists
  • Venues, with Venue Features
  • Equipment: Equipment, Equipment Categories and Equipment Hires
  • Packages & Addons: Packages, Package Categories, Add-ons and Add-on Categories
  • Transactions: Invoices, Transactions and Transaction Types
  • Reporting: Leads, Bookings & Events, Financial, Sales, and Customer & Marketing
  • Communication: Forms, Lead Sources, Submissions, Communications, Email Templates and Meeting Templates
  • Automation

Click an entry with an arrow to open the pages inside it. The section you are in stays open.

To make more room, collapse the sidebar to icons with the arrow at the top. Hover over an icon to see its name.

The bottom of the sidebar

Three icons sit at the bottom:

If you work for more than one business, a Switch business button sits here too.

The top bar

The top bar has quick shortcuts for the jobs you do most: New Event / Lead, sending an email, raising an invoice and taking a payment. Next to them is a search box that finds events, customers and more as you type.

The bell shows your notifications, such as a new lead, a signed contract or a payment. Click your initials for your profile, Account security and signing out.

The welcome tour

New accounts get a short tour that points out each part of the menu. If you skipped it, nothing is lost: everything it shows is in this article.

Employees see less

Staff with the employee role see a shorter menu. They only get the parts they need to do their events, and never your finances or settings. See What employees can and can’t see.
