If your DJs are self-employed, a self-billing remittance is the paperwork you raise on their behalf for the events they worked. Mobile DJ Manager builds it from the wages on your events.
Generating a remittance
- Go to Transactions > Invoices.
- Click Generate remittance.
- Choose the member of staff and the date range.
- A draft is created with one line per event they worked, as lead DJ or extra staff, at the wage recorded on that event.
- Check it, then Issue it.
Events already covered by another remittance are left out and you are told which, so nobody is paid twice.
Remittances have their own numbering, set in Settings > Invoicing with Self-billed number prefix and Next self-billed number. The PDF says it is a self-billed invoice.
Sending and paying
- Click Send to email the remittance and its PDF to the member of staff.
- Pay them as you normally do.
- Click Record payment. This records the money going out under Employee Wages, so it shows in your Financial report.
Who sees what
Remittances are only ever seen by admins. Staff get theirs by email, and never see anyone else’s wages. Customers never see remittances.
