Enquiry forms live in Communication > Forms. Every form you build gets its own page, and you can put it on your website too. Each submission creates a lead.
Creating a form
- Go to Communication > Forms and click New form.
- Give it a name, and the title and button text visitors see.
- Add your fields (below).
- Choose what happens after someone sends it (below).
- Save. Make sure the form is active.
Fields
Each field has a type, a label, whether it is required and a width. The types are:
- Text, textarea, email, telephone, URL, date and time
- Select list, checkbox, checkbox list and radio buttons, with your own options
- Event type, venue, package, add-ons and lead source lists, filled from your own lists
- Instant quote: shows a running total as the visitor picks a package and add-ons
- Section heading and horizontal rule to break the form up
- New step: starts a new page of the form, with its own title and intro
Set a field’s width to put fields side by side, from full width down to a quarter. On a phone, every field goes full width.
Linking a field to your records
Choose what each field fills in: the customer’s first name, last name, email, phone or address, or the event’s date, times, type, venue, notes, package, add-ons or lead source. Fields that aren’t linked are still saved, and you see every answer on the lead.
Add at least a name, an email and an event date. Without an email you can’t reply.
After someone sends the form
- Notify an admin: send each submission to an email address of your choice.
- Email the enquirer: send a thank-you from one of your email templates. This is on by default, using Enquiry Received.
- Create an enquiry: create a lead from the submission. Leave this on unless the form is just for messages.
- Redirect to a thank-you page on your site, or show a success message instead.
Spam
Forms are protected by a hidden honeypot field, a bot check and a limit on how often one address can send. You don’t need to set anything up.
Custom styling
If you know CSS, add your own in the form’s custom CSS box to match your website. For safety, it can’t load images or files from other sites, apart from Google Fonts.
