Moving from the Mobile DJ Manager WordPress plugin

Use the free exporter plugin to package your bookings, customers, venues, packages and templates into one file, then import it.

In Getting startedUpdated

If you used the Mobile DJ Manager plugin for WordPress, you can bring everything across in one go. A small exporter plugin packs your data into a single ZIP file that AI import reads directly, without using any of your AI page allowance.

What comes across

  • Bookings, with their status, payments and notes
  • Customers
  • Venues
  • Packages and add-ons
  • Contract templates
  • Email templates, with their content tags changed to the new ones where there is an equivalent

Step by step

  1. In Mobile DJ Manager, go to Dashboard > Import Data and click Download WordPress exporter. This saves a file called mdjm-cloud-export.zip.
  2. On your WordPress site, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose that ZIP and activate the plugin. It is called MDJM Cloud Export.
  3. In WordPress, go to Tools > MDJM Cloud Export and run the export. It downloads one ZIP file holding everything.
  4. Back in Mobile DJ Manager, drop the export file onto Import Data.
  5. Check the drafts and save, as described in Importing your bookings with AI import.

Don’t delete your WordPress site yet. Keep it until you have checked your imported bookings and you are happy everything came across.

Tips

  • Template wording that used a content tag with no equivalent here is kept as written and flagged, so you can fix it on the Templates step.
  • Run the import before you start taking new bookings in Mobile DJ Manager, so you aren’t working in two places at once. AI import is available for your first month.
  • Imported templates never replace ones you already have. If the names clash, the imported one is saved as “Name (imported)”.
  • Once you are done, you can deactivate and delete the exporter plugin from WordPress.
